Explore folders in place

• Expand and collapse folders directly in list view to browse nested contents without opening a new location.

Safer work with nested items

• Selection, keyboard commands, drag and drop, and file actions now follow the nested items visible in the list.
• Copy, move, delete, and compress actions avoid duplicate work when both a folder and one of its children are selected.
• Expanded folders stay aligned with background file changes, with safer handling for folder aliases and symbolic links.

Reliability fixes

• Fixed an issue that could incorrectly show a ChatGPT Codex connection as unavailable even when sign-in was valid.

Work across tabs and windows

• Select several tabs and move, pin, unpin, duplicate, or close them together instead of repeating the same action one tab at a time.
• Drag tabs between windows while keeping the file location, selection, and AI Chat context you were using in each tab.
• Reorder pinned tabs and keep the same order across windows and after reopening Voyager.

Return to what you were doing

• Press Control-Tab to return to the tab you used most recently, or use number shortcuts to move directly to a tab in the current window.
• Keep Undo and Redo attached to the window and tab where a file action started, including after moving tabs between windows.

More complete file actions

• Open a file in a new tab, choose another app with Open With, or use supported macOS Services from the context menu. Open With now finds compatible apps more reliably, including for files without an extension.

Reliability fixes

• Improved Codex sign-in validation, token refresh, and authentication guidance.
• Voyager’s update window can now open the release notes for the version being installed.

Updating from v0.8.4

• If Voyager v0.8.4 is blocked by sign-in or an expired session and cannot check for updates, quit Voyager and download the latest version manually.
• Drag Voyager to Applications and choose Replace. Do not uninstall the existing app; your settings and AI Chat history will remain.
